Ada beberapa ekspresi dalam Bahasa inggris yang mengungkapkan persetujuan atau ketidaksetujuan akan suatu hal. Selanjutnya kita akan membahas ungkapan-ungkapan tersebut.

Expression of agreement
Untuk menyatakan persetujuan bisa diungkapkan kedalam dua macam pernyataan, bisa menggunakan pernyataan positif (positive statement) dan juga pernyataan negatif (negative statement). Meskipun menggunakan negative statement  tetapi sesungguhnya itu mengungkapkan persetujuan. 
Perhatikan contoh expressions of agreement berikut:

Positive statements
Me, too.
You can say that again!
So do I.
You're telling me!
It certainly does.
I'm with you.
I'll say!
You bet.
You and I both!

Negative statements
I don't either
I'll say I don't!
Neither do I.
Isn't he/she?
Who wouldn't?
I couldn't agree (with you) more.

Berikutnya adalah contoh ungkapan ketidaksetujuan, perhatikan contoh ungkapannya.
Expression of Disagreement
I'm afraid I don't.
I can't say, I do.
Not Really.
Not necessarily.
I'm afraid not.
That's not how I see it.
That's not what I think.
I don't think so.
Probably not.
I can say I agree.
I couldn't agree (with you) less.
On the contrary...
I don't know how you can say that.
